Double drops of Awesome!

Codey gets lots of Awesome today, starting out with he and Colton getting up at 6:00 to go to the Timp. Temple to do Baptizms for the dead. Then he came home and put up a coat rack so that the kids can hang up their coats now instead of putting all on the banister of the stairs. Then this afternoon he took us all to the movie Wreck it Ralph.

I didn't get a hole lot done today other then cooking three meals cooked, and the dish washer run. I also tried to take a hot bath because I had a head ache and there was know hot water so it was pretty cold. Then when I got out we put on a movie for the little boys and Codey, Colton and Hailey and I sat a played phase ten it was fun, we don't useally play games at home we do a lot of it at the cabin though.

Drop of Awesome!
Took the kids to a movie today.

Friday

Friday, I look forward to Fridays for some reason maybe because I don't have to get up Saturday morning until I want to, or because I feel like I can relax, but I do know it feels good that it is Friday.

I picked the kids up from school today and we went over to Codeys moms until I took Hailey over to her friends house for a little party she was having. And because Codey was going to be working on his car fixing the heater, the job he thought was going to take about 8 hours ended up only taking about 4 which was a lot nicer for him. He was replacing the heater core. And I guess it is hard to get to and is hard to do, so he watched a few videos on YouTube and desided it was doable.

So the kids and I just  sat and watched a couple of movies until Cherri got home and then we made dinner, by the time it was done Codey and Lynn were too, so we eat and cleaned up and got home by 8:00 I got kids in bed and I got in bed too, which feels good after a long day, and I'm sure it feels better for Codey after his long day.

Well goodnight I need some sleep.

Awesome drop for today!
Picked up the house, yep that's it!

Bragging!

Just so I remember for Haileys sake.

Hailey came in third in her class spelling bee she said she lost on the dumbest word, that should have been so easy.
I told her I loved her and we all mess up sometimes and In the long run it doesn't really matter. She just looked at me, got mad about something else and berried her head. I didn't know if I made her feel bad or she really was mad about something else. No matter what I love her the most she is my only little girl. I love the boys too just in a boy kind of way.

Can you say drop of Hailey Awesome!

Brownie points!

So for a little drop of Awesome I made brownies today. Which I don't ever do really, I don't like to bake and I'm not a fan of sweets, but Codey and the kids love them. So I thought I would show a little love and make them a treat. I hope they taste good I bought a large container of cocoanut oil and have been trying to use it more so I used it instead do vegetable oil, so we will see how fast they are eaten. I'm sure they will be fine.

I have been thinking a lot lately about Codey and the kids and showing them a little more how much I love them, and I need to show them more by the things that I do for them.
I feel a little (well a lot) overwhelmed by all I am supposed to do everyday, and really it isn't all that much when you make a list or see it on paper. Get up, get the kids to school, come home do laundry, do the dishes, clean up, make the bed and the kids, clean a bathroom, change some sheets, sweep the floor, think of something for dinner, go get the kids from school, help with homework, make something for dinner, hope everyone will eat what I made for dinner, clean it all up, go to a primary meeting or scout meeting or RS meeting or Codey has scouts or a bank meeting or a union meeting, get kids in bed and then have a minute to sit down and check email or do nothing while sitting in front of the TV. And yet it seems as if I don't get anything done, and that my days all run together, and so what do I really do?

Sit and hold Cash, tell the boys for the bazzilyenth time to stop fighting, don't bounce the ball in the house, keep the toys in the toy room, stop yelling, please find something quiet to do while Cash sleeps, listen to me, and the list goes on and on. Why do I find time for all of that and not the things I should be doing. Get all the above done and still sit and read to the boys have dinner ready at 6 have it all cleaned up and sit and talk to the kids about there day, see what they want to do sometime.

It all makes me tired to think about. Why can't I pay someone to clean the house so I have time to do something with the kids, why do I agonize over dinner just for everyone to come and say ( I hate that ) can I have a cook too, so everyone can get what they want? Then can we all go away for the weekend so I don't have to do anything but watch the kids play in the pool, and have someone else fix the food and make the bed. You say life would be so boring, but I don't think it would be, I think I might like it, a lot.

I have a friend who in my mind has it all, her kids are in sports and piano, they never eat out unless on vacation, her kids are always doing what they are told they don't yell at there mother, they live at the library, she reads to them for hours a day, she could take someone a meal with an hours notice and wouldn't even think about it being a hardship, no her house is not clean not even a little the beds aren't made, the car is full of books, she's on the PTA and helps out at her kids school 3 hours a week, they go camping and hiking, they go to the park every other day, and yet if I called and needed something she would drop whatever she is doing and help, even if I haven't seen her for months in between, because she is just that way.

Is this how I want to be , we'll I do like to have a clean house and I do have to have my bed made everyday, but if you asked my kids they have the most boring lives ever, we never do anything and they are alway bored, because I never do anything with them.
As I sit here Cash is sitting at my feet screaming the boys are yelling about something there are toys everywhere, the car needs the tires rotated, it needs an oil change, it needs to be washed, Codey has no heater in his car, who knows the last time any of those things were done on his car, and yet here I am if I ignor it all will it go away? I wish. But it won't it never does, tomorrow will be another day and I might get something done. Today I will just look at it all and say oh well, life goes on.

I made brownies and everyone's Tummies will be happy even if they don't sa thanks I know they love me for making them. And I do, I love them all a lot.

So after all that,  what can I say Codey is back to 40 hours a week we are going to a hotel for the weekend next week and I hope I will tell the kids every day how much I love them.

Remember when!

So on Facebook today I saw something that made me think of the everyday and the past so I want to answer some  questions that I saw.

1. What is something you remember about your grandma?
I new 2 of my grandmas both on my moms side, my moms mom and her mother grandma Cleo and grandma Allen had big parts in my life, grandma Cleo lived in Elco Nevada when I was little and I remember many trips to her house, when I was 9 years old she built a house next door to us in Orem, I loved living so close to her. One of the things I remember the most is lunch, I know pretty funny grandma always had the funnest lunches which were a sandwich cheese balls maybe some carrot sticks and a can of diet Pepsi oh and a cookie the oatmeal ones with icing, after making lunch we would go in the living room and sit in front of the TV and watch General Hospital, it was so fun, for one we got to eat in front of the TVand we got soda. Grandma Allen lived pretty close also, she lived in a cute little trailer on St Street. She always came over for Sunday dinner and she would always bring a chocolate cake and it was always frosted beautifully. My big brother Allen took care of her yard for her which was a match made in Heavan because they were both perfectionists as Allen would mow grandma would sweep which should have happened when he was all done but no, she swept after every round of the yard, she also had some lawn sizzles that she always had out and she would go behind Allen as he mowed and cut any grass that he missed. And we always left her house with a cookie the fudge stripe ones.

2. What is something you and your dad have in commen?
We look alike, every one always told me that when I was little, you look just like your dad they would say. I don't think I likes it, but I like the fact that I belong to him so if that means that I can look the part then okay.

3. What is your favorite day of the week and why?
I always looked forward to Saturday because Codey was home and it seemed that we were all more poor ductile and got a lot more done and then we did something fun. But then Codey started to work most Saturdays so it was just another day that we had together things done and Codey wasn't around if we were able to got and do something. But I really think I like Sundays because evenknow wego to church and maybe I have a lesson or something to get ready it is less stressful than other days, I also love the fact that I don't have to cook because we go to Codeys moms for dinner and I love her food, she is a grate cook. And the kids love to go over to hang out.

So after all that I haven't gone and gotten my shopping done so I geuss I will go and get the things done that need to be so that I can say I accomplished something today.

Drop of Awesome!
I put away the rest of the Christmas stuff hooray!

"What he said"

So Crew walks by Cash and knocks him down, I turn around and tell Crew to say sorry to Cash, so Crew says, " oh sorry babe, well your not my babe your moms babe well not her babe your her baby, so there." He cracks me up.

I wish I could bottle him up and save him, he says the cutest things and I love the age he is at.

Awesome drop!
I changed my sheets today.

Monday

A new week, a new day,
Got up, got the kids to school, worked on laundry, got all my clothes put away.
I took the kids down to Kirsten's and went out to Eagle Mountain to help Sarah clean her house and get things done at the house because they close on Thursday.
So I cleaned the kitchen and got the stove cleaned. I hope they got done with the things that they needed to today. There was a room that they were finishing Johnnie was painting it today and in the morning they are getting the carpet laid.

I am sitting here in bed watching the biggest loser, the new season, and think of all the things that I can do to be more healthy and have better things for my kids to eat and do.

Got home from Sarah's today and new that I was getting a migraine, so I took some Tylonal and thought that it would kick in and start to work but it didn't it started getting worse and I started to see spots and get dizzy, then I new I was going to be sick, and I was. I haven't had a headache that bad for a lone time, so I came in and got in the bath I thought I might fall asleep it was so hot and it was so nice to lay there, I think I was in the tub for about 40 min. Then I took a hot shower by the time I got out I felt so much better. I was able to eat dinner and clean up and am now sitting here writing this. I have only had a couple of goods days this year so I hope to feel better and be more healthy.

I also hope to sleep tonight to Cash was up for about an hour last night crying, I hope he does better tonight and will sleep.

Good night
